Gay Pride Parade 2008, San Francisco
This contingent is, I believe, Velocity Circus. They shot fake snow all over Market Street, and the crowd loved it!
The only thing I could find online about these cool peformers is this blog.

Yes, that really IS a cool shot.
I couldn't exactly figure out what that fake snow stuff was, but I guess it did disapate after a few minutes.
Hope you had as good as a time as I had... One of the best parts was the group of guys standing behind me who were making funny and outrageous comments...
On Wednesday I'll try to post a list of URLs to two dozen or so "keepers" that I managed to snag -- I narrowed them down from a total 780 snaps. (I was using the machine-gun approach to photography)
Neither did I, but it felt like some kind of foam or soap (?)
Thanks for the compliment! I think I just got lucky with that shot. It's very difficult to frame moving targets, so I'm sure the machine gun approach works much better in this case! Can't wait to go see your links!
I'll probably post a small selection of mine by the end of the week.
