Gay Pride Parade 2008, San Francisco

This contingent is, I believe, Velocity Circus. They shot fake snow all over Market Street, and the crowd loved it!

The only thing I could find online about these cool peformers is this blog.

These hot-pink flowers are abundant in my neighborhood lately.

Checkered pattern

Who could possibly be stuck at work by a beautiful Sunday afternoon?

(Photographed slightly South of Market last Sunday on my way to the Contemporary Jewish Museum.)

Opening of Contemporary Jewish Museum San Francisco

The San Francisco Contemporary Jewish Museum just opened today south of Market, just a couple of steps away from the SFMOMA and the Moscone Center. The entrance was free today, and many people took advantage of the Grand Opening to check out the exhibits.

As soon as the dust settled, I will probably go back and check out the William Steig exhibit, which looked really fun and interesting. Look for additional pictures of the inside of the structure in a few days.

The Contemporary Jewish Museum is having a number of free tours and exhibits this week. Check out the CJM website for further details if you are interested.
